Confirm the legal Chinese company name, unified social credit code, business scope, registration status, and whether the seller's English name is only a trade name. A factory that cannot provide consistent identity details should not be treated as a verified production source.
Business licenses, audit reports, ISO certificates, web domains, email signatures, and bank details should point to the same operating entity. The risk usually appears in the gaps between documents rather than in one single document.
For each supplier, keep a dated folder with source documents, screenshots, correspondence, verification notes, and open questions. If a shipment later fails, the file shows what was known and what still needs review.
Pick one live supplier, fill the identity fields, then write down the gaps. A blank field is not a verdict. It is a reason to pause until the seller explains it in writing.
